For rental purposes, you will need to present a valid ID, your driving licence and a credit card for the security deposit. To rent and ride motorcycles with an engine displacement exceeding 50 cc, a category A1, A2 or A driving licence is required. A category B driving licence issued outside Italy does not permit riding scooters with an engine displacement exceeding 50 cc. Holders of a foreign driving licence residing outside the European Union are advised to obtain an international driving permit.
